Here's a list of holiday events in the CSRA

The holiday season is here and there are plenty of events on and off campus to feel the cheer.

November 14- January 8 at varying times – Evans on Ice

Enjoy an outdoor ice skating rink surrounded by holiday lights. There will occasional live music and movies played in the park. Tickets range from $13-17. More information can be found at evansonice.com

November 18- December 30 at varying times – Lights of the South

An over 100 acre piece of land with more than 5 million lights displayed that you can walk on a trail through or hop on one have the hay rides. They also have fire pits to roast marshmallows and a holiday light maze. General admission is $16 and more information can be found at lightsofthesouth.com

Every Sunday until December 18 from 12-4 p.m. – Holiday Market at the Marina

You can shop for festive items with a river view down at the Marina. It is a weekly market full of vendors selling holiday and non-holiday items. There will also be food trucks and hot chocolate. On certain Sundays they will have live artists.

December 2 at 7:30 p.m. – Holiday Spectacular Concert

Celebrate with the Department of Music faculty, students, and special guests as they bring in the holidays with traditional music and new classics from across genres. General admission is $15, students and faculty are free with their JagCard.

December 9-10 at varying times – Augusta Players present ‘A Christmas Carol’

The Imperial Theatre will host the Augusta Players in their yearly production of “A Christmas Carol.” You can join Scrooge in his journey through past, present, and future and see if he finds the holiday spirit in his heart. Tickets range between $38-50 and can be purchased at imperialtheatre.com

December 10 at 6 p.m. – Augusta Christmas Parade

This is a yearly parade that runs through Downtown Augusta on Broad Street. The street is decorated with lights and ribbons to line the path of the floats. Spectators can sit or stand on the sidewalk as the pass by. It is free for all but donations to the Ronald McDonald House will be accepted.

December 17 at 5 p.m. – Movies at the Miller presents ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’

Get ready for Christmas with a holiday classic. The Miller Theater normally acts as a live performance venue but a partnership with Queensborough National Bank has led to them showing movies once again. Tickets for the event are free but must be claimed either by visiting millertheateraugusta.com or calling the box office at 706-842-4080.
