On this edition of The Sports Squad, host Patrick Motes discusses the Augusta University's women and men’s basketball teams through the first four games of the Peach Belt season. The Jaguar women are tied with Lander for first place after winning their first four PBC games. The men beat Clayton State last week but lost to rival USC Aiken to fall to 1-3. Joining Motes is David Bulla, chair of the Department of Communication and professor. The panel will also talk about Nick Saban’s retirement in college  football, and the Atlanta Falcons looking to hire a new coach, perhaps Bill Belichick. Motes and Bulla will also talk about the NFL playoffs. A new segment, called Yes-No-Maybe, will make a few forecasts. Bulla will spotlight the coaching career of Stanford women’s basketball coach Tara VanDerveer, who is about to surpass retired Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski as the all-time winningest coach in college basketball The Sports Squad is a production of Bell Ringer-Phoenix Media. It is produced at the TVC Lab on the Summerville Campus of Augusta University. Jasmine Garcia is the producer and the lab coordinator. Brionna Law is the video producer. The opinions are those of the host and panelist, not Augusta University. (Photo above of Kennedi Manning by Paula Toole, AU Athletics.) Click on the start button below:—>
