Photos: See artwork from the Juried Student Art Exhibition at AU's Mary S. Byrd Gallery of Art

The Mary S. Byrd Gallery of Art is displaying the 2021 Juried Student Art Exhibition on the Summerville Campus.

Augusta University students submitted an array of art, including paintings, sculptures and multiple media.

The exhibit opened Oct. 21 and continues showing through Dec. 1.

According to Shannon Morris, the gallery director for the museum, the artwork was juried by Christa Bowden, Emily Goméz and Ernesto Goméz.

The museum displays and exhibition of various kinds of artwork from students.

Swimming Along, 2020

“The artwork shows a turtle swimming in a bright coral reef. I want to represent ocean life and the importance of marine conservation in my pieces.”

To view the entire exhibit, students and faculty can visit the gallery 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday in Washington Hall on the Summerville campus, though times might vary on the holiday break.
