The Peach Belt Conference volleyball opener between Augusta University and Flagler College has been moved from Friday, Sept. 26, to the next day due to Hurricane Helene.

AU, which will operate virtually on Sept. 26, has re-scheduled the PBC match for Saturday, Sept. 27, at 3 p.m.

The match will be played at Christenberry Fieldhouse and televised on the PBC Network.

The Jaguars (9-2) are led by outsider hitters Marin Freeland and Sophia Kruczko. Freeland has 109 kills in 44 sets and Kruczko has 101 in the same number of sets.

Setter Janvier Buggs leads AU in assists with 249, good for 5.66 per set. Jada Suguturaga and Madelyn Eden are the block leaders. Suguturaga averages 1.59 blocks per set and Eden averages 1.11 blocks per set.

Eden returns to the lineup after missing the win at UNC Pembroke with an injury.

Guilia Rodrigues and Rylie Harris have been stalwarts on defense. Rodrigues has 208 digs and Harris 121.

The Jaguars defeated UNC Pembroke 23-25, 20-25, 25-22, 25-20, 15-13 on Sept. 24 on the road.

Flagler is led by Jordan Berglin, who has 92 kills. Clare Sheedy has 312 assists for the Saints (4-6), and Lexi Basler has 121 digs.

Saturday’s non-conference match with Lenior-Rhyne was cancelled.
