Every Nation Campus kicks off fall semester with a block party celebration

Every Nation Campus hosted its first event of the semester Aug. 23 on the Augusta University Intramural Field to kick off the fall semester.

Every Nation is a global family of churches built by Every Nation planters who build churches in cities all around the world. The Every Nation church located in Evans, Georgia is In Focus Church. Within these churches are Every Nation college ministries that are based within local universities all over the world.

“We plant churches that reach the campus because we firmly believe that if we change the campus, we will eventually change the family, the nation and the world,” said Every Nation in their online mission statement.

Specifically within In Focus church is the Every Nation college ministry chapter ENC Augusta, based at Augusta University.

“ENC Augusta is a church-based student organization at Augusta University. We engage students through fellowship and building relationships and community as well as through studying the Bible, learning more about Jesus and growing deeper in our relationship with Him,” said Lena Garrard, the ENC Augusta president.

Every Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. ENC Augusta meets at the Augusta University Campus Recreation Center to play games, fellowship, and grow in their relationships with God and one another. Besides Tuesday evenings, ENC Augusta also hosts events on the weekends, such as Nerf wars, game nights and house parties.

Their first event of the semester was their ENC Block Party, where they offered students free food, played field and board games and enjoyed socializing. This event not only provided Augusta University students with fun activities and a free meal but also gave incoming students a chance to hear what ENC Augusta is all about.

“The block party was extremely fun! It was a great opportunity for new AU students to learn more about ENC and connect with other students," said Daniel Prasad, a junior at Augusta University.

One of the Campus Missionaries, Thomas Lollis, ensures that Augusta University students will not want to miss the exciting things ENC Augusta has planned for this semester. He along with the other campus missionary, Marc Maldonado, have spent the entire summer planning for this semester.

“The block party was just the beginning of all the fun and exciting things coming up this semester,” said Lollis.

With the fall semester just beginning, ENC Augusta has a calendar full of campus and church-based events that are open to anyone and everyone, including non-Augusta University students. You can find more information on the organization, meeting times and events they host at https://infocus.church/enc or on their Instagram page, enc_augusta.
