Augusta University is inviting students and community members to a groundbreaking for a Health Sciences Campus parking deck Monday, Jan. 29, at 10 a.m. on 840 Spellman Street near Elm Hall.

President Brooks Keel and other university officials are expected to be present at the groundbreaking.

The new parking deck plans to feature 1,350 spaces and will have entry and exit to Wrightsboro Road. According to a Jan. 19 press release, the deck can provide a 60% increase in parking capacity for students and employees on the Health Sciences Campus.

The parking deck is expected to be completed in the spring of 2025.
