Augusta University welcomed back its students this fall semester with additions to their dining services on campus.

Located in the Allgood Hall atrium is the first addition to the Summerville Campus: Sub Connection. They offer various sub sandwiches, soups and salads with generous portions and are made to order.

AU dining services worker Lydia Lowe manages the Sub Connection during its hours of operation. She said that students have been enjoying the additions to their dining options.

“When we first opened up, we had a long, unexpected line,” she said. “I’m happy to see that students are enjoying their new options and choosing to eat our healthy foods.”

The Health Sciences Campus also welcomed a new dining option: Einstein Bros. Bagels, which is an American bagel and coffee chain offering lunch and breakfast sandwiches, coffee and freshly baked bagels. Their hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The coffee drinkers on campus also get to enjoy another addition this fall: the Starbucks Cart in the J. Harold Harrison, MD Education Commons lobby. They are open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In addition, a second Starbucks Cart will soon be available in the University Hall lobby with the same hours of operation.

Coming soon, on Sept. 24, 2021, a Pizza Hut Express will open to students and staff in the Jaguar Student Activities Center on the Summerville Campus. It will offer a variety of pizza, wings and breadsticks that students can enjoy right here on campus.

“Students don’t even have to leave campus; they can just fill their tummies here and not have to worry about finding parking again,” said Lowe.
