Augusta University has named Ember Holloway as the next coach to lead the women’s golf program.
Holloway comes to AU from the University of Georgia, where she was an assistant coach. A native of Sterling, Ill., she played collegiately at the University of Illinois.
As a Fighting Illini, she participated in three NCAA Division I regionals, becoming the first player in the history of the program to do so. She also finished with the lowest stroke average in her final two seasons and the second-lowest in program history. She went on to play three professional seasons as well.
"I feel truly honored to be the next head women's golf coach at Augusta University," said Holloway. "I want to thank (athletic director) Ryan Erlacher and the rest of the search committee for their belief in me to build upon the success Augusta golf is known for. My family and I look forward to being a part of such a storied and passionate community. Augusta is truly a special place, and I cannot wait to compete for championships."
In Athens, Holloway coached three All-Americans, three All-SEC performers and four individual title winners. The 2023 Bulldog team won the NCAA Athens Regional championship and finished 14thvoverall at the NCAA national championship.
Before he tenure at UGa., Holloway was an assistant coach at Purdue.
Holloway replaces Caroline Haase-Hegg, who coached the Jaguars for nine years, won three straight Southland Conference titles and led her team to the nationals in 2023—which was a program first.
Holloway also served as the senior assistant golf pro at The Club at Boot Ranch in Fredericksburg, Texas.
One item on her bucket list playing a round at Augusta National.
