The Sports Squad S4/E9: 2021-22 year in review show

Carlos Rodriguez leads the gang in a discussion of the recently concluded year in Augusta University Athletics. The Jaguars made it to the final of the NCAA Division II men’s basketball championship; the volleyball team advanced to the Elite Eight before losing to eventual national champion Tampa and had senior Chloe Allen’s jersey retired; the men’s cross country team won another Peach Belt title, as did McKenzie Taylor on the women’s side; women’s golf won their first-ever conference title and sent Natalia Yoko all the way to the national championship tournament; men’s golf celebrated the 10th anniversary of their back-to-back Division I national titles; and Priscilla Ajala and Hans Troyer won individual titles in the outdoor track and field season. Late, breaking news finds AU AD Clint Bryant retiring after 34 years on the job, and Yoko finishing tied for 52nd in the national championship golf tournament. Carlos, co-editor in chief of the Bell Ringer, is joined by Chris Rickerson and Katron Hugee. The Sports Squad is a production of Bell Ringer-Phoenix Media. Timothy Williams is the producer.
