Sexual assault at Elm Hall from 2023 reported to AU Police

The mother of an Augusta University student reported to AU Police that her daughter was sexually assaulted at the Elm Hall residence on Aug. 30, 2023.

A report was made on May 12 of this year, according to the police department’s crime log, and the assailant was identified as a male student in the police report.

Since the case is currently under investigation, the university has not commented on the matter at this time.

Elm Hall is located at 840 Spellman Street in Augusta. According to the university webpage, the dorm is open to juniors and senior health science and computer science majors with a 3.5 GPA.
