Pamplin swings into the season with annual Spring Fling

Pamplin College presented its annual Spring Fling celebration outside of the Jaguar Student Activities Center on March 19.
The tradition celebrates the first day of spring along with great treats for students. It offered free food, drinks and even Kona Ice snow cones. Free t-shirts were also available for students and faculty to tie dye and customize.
Many Pamplin faculty were present at the event, joining students in the celebration.
Rodney Ferguson, a faculty member of Pamplin College, said Spring Fling is a great event to take part in.
“This is a great outdoor event for everyone to come be a part of,” said Ferguson, “I also love this event because it gives students the opportunity to destress from all the school work and just get out of the classroom for a little bit.”
Students also find this event to be one of their favorites of the school year as well.
Makenna Gillette, a student at Pamplin College, said Spring Fling was an opportunity to relax and socialize.
“I mostly like this event because it allows me to relax and destress from school,” said Gillette,” I also like Spring Fling because it allows me as a student a chance to see who all in the department is and meet them.”
Whether it’s free food, drinks or even the t-shirts, Augusta University will always have a great time at Pamplin College’s Spring Fling.
