Do you want to help cure cancer faster? Join Paceline’s movement.

The annual PaceDay is to be held Sunday, Oct. 15 with over 400 participants and 77 teams. All of the fundraising supports cancer research for the Georgia Cancer Center.

“Paceline is a community movement that has raised well over $1.25M for cancer research since our inaugural PaceDay event in 2019 – this is made possible through year-round support from our community including partners Augusta University who have over 30 Jaguar teams represented at this years PaceDay,” says Paceline President Martyn Jones.

There will also be an opening ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 14 at the Augusta Common. The doors open at 4 p.m. and anyone can attend the opening ceremony for free.

The next day, PaceDay begins and will feature three supported road routes and a closed-off route called “The Cyber City Circuit.” This route is a one-mile loop in downtown Augusta.

Jones says the route is “especially suited for young riders and adults who are less comfortable riding open roads.”

Information on registering for the bike ride can be found here.

There are also other ways to contribute to Paceline besides riding. Another way to contribute is by volunteering. There are still volunteer positions available for the opening ceremony and PaceDay.

More information on volunteering can be found here.

Another way to contribute is by donating to Paceline. Donations can be made to any of the teams or bike riders. They can also be made as a one-time donation or monthly. The donations can also be made until Dec. 3.
