New sweet treat option arrives at AU

A new edition to the JSAC food court opened today, Aug. 15. Bruster’s Ice Cream is now open and ready to serve students.

Their flavors include vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, Oreo, butter pecan, Cotton Candy Explosion, mint chocolate chip, Graham Central Station, blue ice pop (non-dairy) and vanilla (non-dairy).

Students can enjoy their ice cream in waffle cones, bowls, cake cones, sugar cones, milkshakes, sundaes and blasts. There is also an option to purchase ice cream in pints, quarts and half gallons. In addition, students can add toppings.

Trey Grindstaff, a junior at AU, is excited about the opening of Bruster’s Ice Cream.

“I really like that we have more options,” said Grindstaff. “I think that Bruster’s gives the option of a sweet treat after a long day or a hard test.” He adds, “But I like that the sweet treat option that’s available now.”

Bruster’s will also be attending the Welcome Back Bash happening Aug. 16 in the JSAC Amphitheater at 7:00 p.m.
