Learn about AU's Jaguar Production Crew

In preparation for Homecoming 2022 at Augusta University, the Jaguar Production Crew, often known as The CREW, has hosted several events. Homecoming week celebrations start Feb. 13 and last through Feb. 19.

Sydney Junkins, advisor to The CREW, said that they have a goal to make the college experience fun.

“The CREW is made up of students who want to make an impact on campus and create memorable experiences for other students,” she said. “They're invested, creative, and selfless.”

The CREW hosts a variety of social events for students throughout the whole year. Last month, The CREW hosted “Aux Wars", an evening where students played their favorite hits, ate food and voted on their favorite songs to be played in future events. They also hosted their signature Takeover Tuesday event on the Health Sciences campus last month.

Take Over Tuesdays are an opportunity for students to stop by and pick up free goodies on their way to class to help them get through the semester. The CREW sets up tables with t-shirts, candy, and other free goodies for students to enjoy.

Symone Johnson, a student at the Health Science campus, said that she often learns about what The CREW is doing on their Instagram page.

“They’re always giving stuff out to us, so I wanted to participate and get stuff as well,” she said. “It’s the fact they’re trying to get everyone to come out and participate – that’s what gets me to come.”

On Feb. 8, The CREW gave away homecoming themed packages for students on the Summerville campus. Takeover Tuesdays are hosted each month on the Summerville and Health Science campus.

"The Crew is a staff for us students,” he said. “So come out and have fun!”
