Jaguar VB team advances to Peach Belt tourney final against Flagler

The Augusta Jaguars ran their record to 21-8 with a 3-set victory over USC Aiken on Saturday, Nov. 20, in the semifinals of the Peach Belt Tournament at Christenberry Fieldhouse.

Seniors Kylie Martin and Chloe Allen led the way for AU, which advances to the PBC Tournament final once again. Martin had 16 kills and Allen added 13 for second-seeded Augusta. Alexis Diaz-Infante added 6 kills for the winners.

Ally Thees led the way with 18 assists.

The Pacers (18-9) were led by Emily Lammers with 11 kills.

On Sunday, Nov. 21, at 1 p.m., the Jaguars will go after their fourth straight PBC tourney crown. Their opponent is top-seeded Flagler, which needed five sets to beat Lander in the other semifinal. The Saints (21-4) were led by Jordan Berglin with 11 kills. Flagler won both regular-season league matches with AU.
