Augusta University will host a Constitution Read-In Monday, Sept. 19, at noon in the JSAC Roscoe Williams Ballroom on Summerville Campus as a way to celebrate Constitution Day.

Pizza, drinks and light refreshments will be served. Copies of the document and other items will also be available for those in attendance. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn about voter information from the CSRA League of Women Voters.

Signed on Sept. 17, 1787, this year marks the 235th anniversary of the signing of the United States Constitution. The day is also recognized as Citizenship Day.

AU has acknowledged the day in previous years, as institutions who receive federal funding must provide educational information about the Constitution.
