Upcoming events at Augusta University’s Maxwell Theatre

The Maxwell Theatre hosts an array of events throughout the year, and will host many performances and shows for the month of February.
The spring semester began with a showing of “Anatomy of a Fall” Jan. 18 through The Cinema Series. This night showcased a French crime/mystery film that had audiences on the edge of their seats.
The next event through The Cinema Series takes place Feb. 1, which is “The Animation Show of Shows.” This event will feature short films from around the world. There are two showings, with one at 2:30 p.m. and the other at 7 p.m.
The Cinema Series will also show the film “The Promised Land” on Feb. 8. This film will have two showings at 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
In addition to the Cinema Series, Maxwell Theatre will be hosting the following events:
The Great Dubois Masters of Variety, Feb. 7 at 7 p.m.
The Augusta University Jazz Ensemble: Wycliffe Gordon’s Jazz a La Carte, Feb. 16 at 7 p.m.
The Augusta University Orchestra: A Night at the Cinema, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m.
Harry Jacobs Chamber Music Society: Boston Brass, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m.
The Augusta University Wind Ensemble: Homages, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m.
The Augusta University Singers: Missa De Requim, Feb. 29 at 7 p.m.
All of these events are free for AU/EGSC students, faculty and staff with a valid JagCard.
