AU women's basketball team hosts Francis Marion

Through the month of January, the Peach Belt Conference had suspended women’s basketball games because of positive coronavirus tests within programs; however, Augusta University will be playing a conference matchup game against Francis Marion at Christenberry Fieldhouse at 5:30 p.m.
This will be Augusta’s first game since mid-December (eight straight games were postponed or cancelled), and the Jaguars are eager than ever before to get back on the court.
“We have been following the guidelines by social distancing when going to the training room and decontaminating the basketballs after using them,” said AU forward Jaeyln Autman. “During our time off the floor, we’ve been scouting teams to keep our mind sharp and to be ready when it's time to play. We have worked on a lot of our individual skills and practiced our motion offense repeatedly. We have also worked on a lot of our defensive principles so we can stop other teams the best way we know how with what we’ve been taught.”
Jaguars overall season record is 1-3and entered the Francis Marion game in seventh place in the Peach Belt Conference.
