AU women get 79-50 basketball victory over Southern Wesleyan

The Augusta University women’s basketball team produced a 79-50 win over Southern Wesleyan University in the Peach Belt-Conference Carolinas Challenge at the Centennial Center in Milledgeville on Saturday, Nov. 12.

The Jaguars (2-0) were led by Mone Florence with 25 points. Kennedi Manning added 16 points and 15 rebounds. Autumn Phillips chipped in 10 points and nine boards.

AU led 42-30 at halftime and pulled away with a 23-11 advantage on the scoreboard in the third quarter.

Shelby Glance totaled 17 points to lead the Warriors (0-2). Brooke Henricks added 12 points for Wesleyan.

The Jaguars will host Johnson C. Smith on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at 5:30 p.m. in Christenberry Fieldhouse.
