AU resources after Helene

AU resources after Helene

By Makenzy Veldboom | Editor in Chief

After the wake of the damage from Helene on the Augusta community, AU has come together to provide resources and help to students, faculty and staff affected.

For starters, there is a Grab-and-Go pantry at the Health Sciences Student Center that began Oct. 9. The hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

There is also a food pantry on Summerville, “Open Paws Pantry” on the Second Floor Student Center open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There is also student counseling available on both campuses at the Central Energy building (Summerville) and the Second floor student center (Health Sciences).

Visit the AU Cares web page for more resources that can help you, donation pages and a volunteer section for those who are interested in supporting the community after Helene.
