A look into Club Fest 2024

Augusta University’s annual Club Fest was hosted Tuesday, Aug. 20 in the JSAC amphitheater. Dozens of clubs hosted tables where students could find something that interests them to get plugged in on campus.

Upon checking in, students received a Jaguar towel and could walk around exploring the tables that had snacks, pins and drinks. There was also music and students dancing, adding excitement to the atmosphere.

There were many different tables with clubs arranging from mental health, athletic clubs, Greek life, campus ministries and more.

Senior Kinesiology major, Autumn Arrington, a member of Campus Outreach, attended club fest and found an interest in the Augusta Barbell Club and the Kinesiology Club.

“I went to a few events for the Augusta Barbell Club last semester and am excited to join,” said Arrington. “I also have been wanting to join the Kinesiology Club. I have been getting emails about it since Freshman year and am looking forward to being able to be a part of it.”

Arrington also shares her advice for students looking to be involved on campus.

“I found out about the clubs I am a part of through word of mouth, friends inviting, other members of the club reaching out,” said Arrington. “I suggest for students looking to get plugged in you should talk to your friends and see if anyone you know is a part of a club you might enjoy.”

Makayla Larsh, a senior Elementary education major shares her experience with getting plugged in on campus.

“I spent three years of college without any steady friends until I got involved with the organization I’m in now called Delight,” said Larsh. “Now, I see people I know on campus every single day and it changed my entire college experience.”
