By Madison Brown | Staff WriterStudents outside of Allgood Hall were surprised on Friday, Oct. 6, with performances by La Tuna from Salamanca, Spain, as posted on the Augusta University Study Abroad Program’s Instagram page.The band serenaded the crowd of students with traditional Spanish music while in traditional dress.The band began their performance by playing several ballads on guitars while they all sang. One of the members played and danced while the other members of the band sang. After playing a few slower songs, they upped the ante by playing a loud folk song and got the audience to clap along. As their performance wound to an end, they chose three female members of the crowd to take part in their next song. The young women were helped into large black robes adorned with flowers and multi-colored sashes.
