By Sam Turner|Staff writerA local Augusta business is determined to keep doors open during the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) scare with a little magic.Wardrobe of Wishes (WoW), a local party and event princess character company, announced on Thursday, March 12 that they will not close their doors at this time, according to Hannah Lewallen, WoW owner.“I understand that other businesses have closed. Augusta is threatening the Masters to close. Frankly, how I feel about it is, I will not close my doors until my president tells me otherwise,” said Lewallen.According to Lewallen, other character companies in the area have already closed their doors and cancelled their events. Wardrobe of Wishes will remain open and continue with the events and parties already booked.Wardrobe of Wishes has been serving the Augusta's river region since 2017 and has been increasing in characters, as well as clients. Princess characters, such as the Mermaid Princess and the Snow Queen, and villains like the Horned Fairy, are available for private birthday parties as well as events.“This company is my baby,” Lewallen stated. “I built it from the ground up. I still have bills to pay and I'm working at my full-time job. So, our doors at WoW will remain open unless told otherwise.” Contact Sam Turner at SATURNER@augusta.edu
