Augusta hosts its annual Guitar Pull concert

This concert consisted of five well-known country singers: Luke Bryan, Luke Combs, Riley Green, Runaway June and Rodney Atkins.Over a span of months, the local radio station, KICKS 99, gave listeners various opportunities to win tickets for the concert. Whether it was attending ticket stops or calling into the radio station and being chosen to listen on-air, thousands of people won tickets. According to the station's marketing director, Melanie Quick, this has been the most successful concert since Guitar Pull began.Everyone from the radio station worked hard to make this concert possible. All the employees met up from Friday, Nov. 15 to Sunday, Nov. 17 to begin setting up at the James Brown Arena.The doors opened the following day at 6:30 p.m. for the concert-goers. While the show may not have started until 7:30 p.m., attendees could still participate in different activities while waiting for the show to begin. They could take a photo with the KICKS 99 logo or a set of life-size standees of the performing artists, do interviews with the employees of KICKS 99 for a chance to be posted on the station’s website and purchase a variety of food and beverages.One concert-goer made time for an interview. She stated that she has attended Guitar Pull more than a dozen times and was most excited to see Luke Bryan perform.
