Jaguar volleyball team finishes third in PBC with strong finish to regular season

Staff reportThe Augusta University volleyball team finished third in the Peach Belt Conference regular season and will play UNC Pembroke in the first round of the post-season tournament on Friday, Nov. 22 at 4 p.m. in Aiken, S.C.The Jaguars (8-4, 24-8) defeated Lander in the regular-season finale on Nov. 16 in five sets after having swept rival USC Aiken the previous night.Kylie Martin had 19 kills, Nicolette Ramos added 14 and Chloe Allen 13 in the Jags' win over Lander. Samantha Zittrauer had 34 assists and Payton Murchie 22 for the winners.Augusta won 25-17, 20-25, 25-22, 23-25, 15-12.The previous night, the Jags defeated Aiken 25-20, 25-23, 25-20. Madison Malloch had 10 kills for AU. Murchie and Zittrauer each had 15 assists.
