Rooted: A new coffeehouse in Evans' Riverwood Town Center

By Taylor Branam |ContributorWhile on lunch break recently, I decided to stop by this little new café near in Evans at the Riverwood Town Center called Rooted. As I walked in, I was greeted by a very lovely staff who proceeded to help me pick out something from the menu. After placing my order (I got the iced mocha coffee and a spicy chicken), I found a seat and waited for my meal in seats that could be a bit more comfier. The store itself, I noticed, is very clean, and the crowd that it seems to pull in are mostly young adults and college students. In less than five minutes, I had both my coffee and sandwich and was pleasantly surprised with how well it tasted. Not only was it juicy but the taste of their housemade mayo was just phenomenal. The price was a little high with the spicy chicken costing $6 and a regular 12-ounce coffee costing $4.Overall, my experience at Rooted Café was better than I could have imagined. The staff there is very prompt and make sure that you are having a wonderful experience. Other than the prices, the food is very delicious. The vibe and surroundings have a very pleasing aesthetic. Not to mention that it isn't necessarily meant for families so there is a less likely chance to hear crying children. Also, if you are in a rush or you don't feel like heading inside, they also have a drive-thru available for that very reason.Overall, I would definitely recommend folks to visit on their next lunch break as it is a growing favorite for me.Website:Rooted CoffeehouseLocation: 3116 William Few Parkway,Evans, Ga. 30809Phone:(706) 426-8083Hours:
